Dr. Aiman Khamitova leads institution-wide initiatives in pedagogical transformation, active learning space design, and faculty development. Working at the intersection of academic leadership, instructional technology, and facility planning, she drives strategic projects that enhance teaching, learning, and faculty capacity across academic systems. Prior to her current role, she served as Senior Manager for Innovative Learning and Assistant to the Provost for Academic Affairs at NU, following nearly a decade as a diplomat in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.
She holds a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Instructional Systems and Learning Technologies from Florida State University (USA), where her research was nominated for the Gagné-Briggs Outstanding Dissertation Award. She also earned a Specialization Diploma in the Design of Learning Environments from Universitat de Barcelona (Spain), an MA in Economic Journalism from Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (Spain), and a BA in International Journalism from Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO, Russia).

Aida holds an MA in Multilingual Education (2020) and has experience teaching EAP and EFL at Maqsut Narikbayev University (KAZGUU), where she also served as the Head of the Quality Assurance Committee. She earned her CELTA in 2023. Since 2023, she has been part of the Center for Innovation in Learning and Teaching (Office of the Provost) at Nazarbayev University, working as a Professional Learning and Development Expert. Her interests include faculty professional Development and research in higher education.

Aigerim Sary is an experienced English language teaching professional with over a decade of experience in secondary education. She holds a Master of Education in Teaching, Learning and Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Education in Teaching English and Chinese from Suleyman Demirel University. At CILT, she supports faculty in course and curriculum design, assessment, blended learning, and the development of educational and multimedia resources. She also designs and facilitates professional learning workshops, webinars, and other initiatives that promote innovative and effective teaching practices.

Assemgul Alpysbayeva has around 3 years of experience in project coordination and research across the education and cultural sectors. She holds a master's degree in Central and East European, Russian and Eurasian Studies, awarded through the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's programme across the University of Glasgow (The UK), the University of Tartu (Estonia) and the Jagiellonian University (Poland). Assemgul holds the role of Online Learning Multimedia Manager at the Center. She is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Innovative Learning Studio, which is an integral part of the Center's offerings.
